Internazionale coach Walter Mazzarri says the Parma result should not cancel all the positive showed last month.
The Nerazzurri were favourites to beat Roberto Donadoni's side on Saturday evening but Paolo De Ceglie's brace saw the Crociati register their second win of the season as pressure piles on Mazzarri.
"We should not forget all the good done over the last few games and Napoli's win against Roma shows how important our result against Napoli is," Mazzarri said after the defeat.
"We also defeated Cesena and Sampdoria, only that today we failed to show quality.
"They scored and it was a morale boost for them, they kept waiting for us and in the first half we could only create one goal opportunity with Obi.
"But in the second half we changed formation, we put pressure on Parma, hitting the post, only to concede on the counter.
"I agree we are our own worst enemies sometimes. We lack energy and hunger to react although there was a solid reaction in the second half.
"[The third place?] It's a close league, any team can lose points against any opposition.
"We have enough quality to be in the top places, all we need is consistency and we'll be back up there."
