Walter Mazzarri to assess Gary Medel and Mateo Kovacic today

By

Internazionale coach Walter Mazzarri says midfielders Gary Medel and Mateo Kovacic will today be assessed ahead of the game against Napoli.

The two have suffered minor injuries whilst on international duty and the Italian coach will decide late in the afternoon if they are ready to feature against Rafa Benitez's side.

"We are taking care of all details ahead of the game, I hope everyone does what we have tried," Mazzarri said on Saturday.

"I want my players to demonstrate on the pitch all the work we've done during the week.

"I believe it's too early to say how this game will impact the end-of-the-season table, there's still a lot of football left.

"Our objective is to qualify for the Champions League and we'll keep doing it until the very end.

"I will assess [Medel and Kovacic] today [on Sunday] and will then take the right decision.

"[Palacio? The international break helped him] very much.

"His physical and mental level are excellent, we will soon see the real 'Trenza'."
