Mateo Kovacic: Gary Medel was today's man of the match

Internazionale midfielder Mateo Kovacic says Gary Medel deserves the man of the match award after the easy 7-0 win against Sassuolo.

The Chile international was again full of running in Walter Mazzarri's midfield with the Croatian highlighting the importance of having such a player in the squad.

"This is a great win," Kovacic told Inter Channel.

"Sassuolo is a good team but today we were mean and determined.

"I hope to continue like this, with goals and assists.

"[Gary] Medel? I don't track back very often, he runs like a Pitbull [Medel's nickname] and it makes my life easier.

"He was the man of the match today but Icardi and Osvaldo also did well."
