Mauricio Pochettino: We feel very proud of our players and they deserve full credit

By

A delighted Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his players after his side eased past Stoke City by 4-0 on Monday night.

Spurs desperately needed all three points to move closer to leaders Leicester City and they didn't disappoint as they produced one of their most impressive away performances of the season.

The gap from the top is now cut to five points ahead of next week's home game against West Bromwich Albion.

"It was amazing," Pochettino said.

"We feel very proud of our players and they deserve full credit, all the praise.

"We showed character, passion, we were hungry and we enjoyed that 93 minutes.

"We've arrived at a crucial moment (of the season) at a very good level, we're happy with how we are and we need to continue pushing and putting the pressure on Leicester."
