Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says his side's 4-2 win against Burnley was largely down to his players' character.
Spurs were shocked in the first ten minutes of game after Marvin Sordell and Ross Wallace gave the visitors a two-goal lead but reacted immediately with Paulinho pulling a goal back before Etienne Capoue restored parity late in the first half.
Pochettino's men increased the pressure in the second half and completed a superb comeback as they move on to the fourth round of the competition where they will face Leicester City on January 24 at White Hart Lane.
"We showed good character," Pochettino said after the game.
"It was a difficult start and important to come back into the game quickly to believe and move forward.
"We scored to get back to 2-2 before half-time and we deserved to go to the next round, we were better than Burnley. I'm happy with the result and to go into the next round.
"We've played more games than other teams in the Premier League this season and we've had a tough period.
"We have a strong squad and I'm happy for the players who had the opportunity to play.
"It's good to have players who are pushing the squad and make my decision hard every week."
