Mauricio Pochettino on a fair result and Federico Fazio's debut

By

Tottenham Hotspur kicked-off their Europa League campaign with a goalless draw against a tricky Partizan side in Belgrade.

Spurs fought hard against a determined home side and manager Mauricio Pochettino praised his players saying that a lot of positive can be taken from the match ahead of this weekend's home game against West Bromwich Albion.

"I think the result was fair because I think that Partizan in the second half played well and we did well in the first half," said the manager.

"In the end, it is a fair result.

"I am happy with the performance [of Fazio]. It was his first game, like Stambouli.

"They played first time with us and it is always difficult to make your debut, but I am happy."

"We had a lot of positive things.

"It is true before the game we wanted three points, but when you analyse the game the result is fair.

"We need to take a lot of positive things and move forward."
