Tottenham Hotspur's £17m offer for Morgan Schneiderlin was rejected by Southampton, according to The Sun.

After leaving Strasbourg, the 24-year-old impressed in the English Premier League and was praised at the end of last season as being one of the best holding midfielders in England.

According to reports, the Frenchman is desperate to leave the Saints and join old boss Mauricio Pochettino but new manager Ronald Koeman confirmed that the midfielder is fit and ready to make his debut for Southampton.
