Modou Barrow joins Swansea for £1.5m

By

Ostersunds FK striker Modou Barrow has left the Swedish side to join Swansea for an estimated fee of £1.5m.

The striker was delighted after the agreement was reached as he explained that he is ready to work hard to secure a regular place in Garry Monk's side.

"I'm delighted to be here," Barrow is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"I now can't wait to get going and improve each day in training and try to score some goals."

Childhood memories was one of the key factors in the player's decision to join the Swans adding how he was always impressed when he watched them on TV.

"I like the way Swansea play football, it reminds me of how I used to play back home," the 21-year-old said.

"I've watched a lot of their games on TV and I was impressed with what I saw.

"They like to give young players a chance and hopefully I can progress here."
