"He has decided to stay" - Manchester United dealt heavy blow in pursuit of Jose Mourinho target

By

Italian journalist Xavier Jacobelli says Ivan Perisic will not leave Internazionale this summer.

The Croatian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United or Chelsea.

But the Corriere dello Sport editor is convinced the 28-year-old will play for the Nerazzurri this season.

"With [Luciano] Spalletti Inter have made a great transformation," he told Tutto Mercato Web.

"He is working well and in depth: I would highlight the work he did in defence, with the arrival of [Milan] Skriniar, [defence] is no longer the weakest ring, and with Perisic, he decided to stay.

"[Mauro] Icardi's words are very significant: this Nerazzurri pre-season reminds me of the first year of [Antonio] Conte at Juventus, when the Bianconeri were trophyless."
