"He is better than Ivan Perisic" - Manchester United should sign this £56million winger

Express Sport journalist Jack Otway says Manchester United should forget about Ivan Perisic and re-sign Angel Di Maria instead.

The Argentina international failed to impress during his spell at Old Trafford.

But he is now a much better player according to Otway and one who could be a matchwinner.

"Perisic is a decent player," Otway wrote.

"Quick on the ball, and with an eye for goal, he was a shining light at Inter under Frank de Boer and Stefano Pioli last season.

"But he is not a matchwinner. Not a player capable of closing the gap on Chelsea at the top of the Premier League, and Real Madrid at the summit of the Europe.

"Di Maria, by contrast, can be.

"United fans thought they had struck gold when Di Maria signed from Real in the summer of 2014.

"He had just helped Los Blancos win the Champions League, playing a starring role in a pulsating 4-1 win over fierce rivals Atletico Madrid.

"And should PSG complete the unthinkable and land Neymar and maybe Alexis Sanchez too, they may be willing to listen to offers.

"So Mourinho should at least try for Di Maria before United cave in to Inter's ridiculous Perisic demands."
