Manchester United to make move to sign £22.5million defender wanted by "friend" Paul Pogba

Manchester United are set to make a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Serge Aurier.

Metro has claimed that the Red Devils will offer £22.5million to secure the services of the Ivory Coast international.

The article also says that midfielder Paul Pogba is putting pressure on the club to move for his close friend.

On Friday, Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery confirmed that the 24-year-old will leave the club this summer.

"I spoke with Serge to tell him that I wanted him to stay," Emery said in a press conference.

"He told me that he wants to leave and he preferred staying in Paris [instead of going on tour to the USA] to prepare for his departure."
