Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was full of praise for new signing Victor Lindelof after the Sweden international signed a four-year contract with the club.
The 22-year-old is the club's first summer signing with three others to follow according to recent reports.
He will make his debut on the summer tour of the USA in July.
"Victor is a very talented young player," Mourinho told the club's official website.
"He has a great future ahead of him at United. Our season last year showed us that we need options and quality to add depth to the squad and Victor is the first to join us this summer.
"I know that our fantastic group of players will welcome him as one of us."
