"Old Trafford is his first-choice destination" - Midfielder set to snub City to join United

By

Monaco midfielder Fabinho has decided to reject a move to Manchester City to join rivals Manchester United.

According to Metro, the 23-year-old is eager to make a move to Old Trafford and work under manager Jose Mourinho.

Transfer market expert Emanuele Giulianelli revealed on Twitter at the start of the week that the Red Devils will pay £40million to secure the services of the Brazilian.

Earlier this year, the defensive midfielder admitted that his dream is to play for a club like Manchester United.

"My objective is to get to a club with the dimension of Manchester United," he said.

"I have no clue if one day I'll be a United player, but I'll keep working so it stops being a rumour and becomes reality."
