"He always looks overweight" - Premier League legend urges Manchester United not to sign striker

By

Real Madrid striker James Rodriguez "always looks overweight" and Manchester United should consider a different striker, former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has claimed.

The Colombia international is all set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer with the Red Devils, Arsenal and Internazionale all linked.

But the German believes the Red Devils "shouldn't go anywhere near" the 25-year-old because of his fitness level.

"Manchester United shouldn't go anywhere near James Rodriguez!" Hamann wrote in his Paddy Power blog.

"He always looks overweight and United already have enough flaky players who go missing in tough situations, so I'd steer clear.

"Manchester United seem to be going down the Antoine Griezmann route, but if you’ve got the money there's no harm in getting Bale as well."
