"Jose Mourinho told close friends he wants to sign him" - International striker is a target for Man Utd

By

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told close friends of his desire to sign Alvaro Morata for Manchester United this summer, Metro has reported.

With the Red Devils deciding against keeping striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford, the Portuguese is eager to sign a new world class striker to strengthen his offensive department.

The Real Madrid star has spent most of his campaign on the bench but insists that leaving the Spanish giants would be "crazy".

"I want to be playing and to be important to the squad, particularly next year when there is the World Cup," he said.

"But I want to fight for my place here, I would be crazy to leave Real Madrid.

"It's hard to imagine going back to Italy, despite my experience in Serie A being extraordinary. I would like to stay at Real Madrid, and the only club for me in Italy are Juventus."
