Major developments for £86million star sees Jose Mourinho close in on his first summer signing

By

Manchester United will activate Antoine Griezmann’s £86million release clause at Atletico Madrid, the Sun has revealed.

The France international is Jose Mourinho's primary target for this summer's transfer window.

He became one of the best players in Europe after joining the Spanish giants from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old insisted that he is happy with the Los Colchoneros.

"It has been a beautiful year and hopefully I can improve in every year and win trophies with this team," the Frenchman told Atletico's official website.

"I will do everything possible.

"Next year we'll have new goals and new challenges.

"First we must work on the signings and the team, and then go to San Rafael and build the same dynamic that we have been creating for a long time."
