Manchester United ready to pay £100million to get deal done for one of Europe's best striker

By

Manchester United are ready to make a world-record £100million offer to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Calciomercato.it.

The Belgium international scored more than 20 goals in the Premier League this season and will again be one of the most wanted players during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old's contract with Everton expires in 2019 with manager Ronald Koeman convinced that he will not leave the club this summer.

"Romelu has two years more on his contract," the Dutchman was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

"If there is interest in him then the board will know and they will come to the club if they have interest in the player. That is like everybody.

"Of course you like to keep your best striker, your top scorer, but we also need around that position more productivity.

"I expect that he will stay because until now I did not hear anything from the board that one club is asking about Lukaku."
