Jose Mourinho wants £35million Chelsea star at Manchester United but Antonio Conte will block the move

Manchester United are planning a shock bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic according to The Sun.

According to the article, manager Jose Mourinho is ready to offer £35million to reunite with the Serbia international.

The 28-year-old was a regular presence in Antonio Conte's midfield this season and the Italian has no intention of giving his go ahead as he consider the strong midfielder a key element in his line-up.

Matic is waiting for Wednesday's final before considering his future.

The Red Devils failed to qualify for next season's Champions League via the Premier League but will feature in Europe's most prestigious competition if they win the Europa League next week.
