Manchester United have announced that another transfer has been completed before the end of the summer transfer window.
Young defender Tyler Blackett has left the club on a permanent basis to join Reading and will be working under former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam at the Madejski Stadium.
The Dutchman was full of praise for the 22-year-old after the transfer was completed.
He described him as a "talented defender" who can play in a number of different positions in Reading's defensive department.
"As we know, Tyler is a talented defender who has played for United's first team," Stam told Reading's official website.
"He can play as a left-back or a left-sided centre-back; he has got great potential in the sense that he is quick and athletic, defensively he is strong and he is good at set-pieces.
"As a defender he can go and play high up the pitch as well, and that is what we need in the squad."
