Club are expecting Manchester United to bid for Euro 2016 international midfielder

Zenit St. Petersburg are expecting Manchester United to bid for Axel Witsel, according to the Daily Star.

At the start of the month, reports have claimed that Serie A champions Juventus have made an attempt to sign the 27-year-old in exchange for Roberto Pereyra and cash.

Zenit are ready to sell the midfielder but only if an offer between £25million and £35million is made.

The Belgium international has recently confirmed that he wants to leave the Russian giants.

"I want to leave Zenit. My future may be in Italy or England," he said.

"It does not matter if I go to Serie A or the Premier League, if they're a great club."
