Manchester United in shock Arsenal negotiations to finally sign a player they agreed a fee for in 2008

By

Manchester United are planning a shock bid to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey according to Metro.

According to the report, the 25-year-old will be Jose Mourinho's main target if he fails to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.

The Welshman has come under heavy fire from Arsenal fans after a number of below-par performances for the Gunners last season.

But he was one of the key players for Wales as they won Group B of Euro 2016 to set a meeting with Northern Ireland in the Round of 16.

Way back in 2008, the Red Devils announced that a fee with Cardiff City has been agreed to bring the Welshman to Old Trafford.

But he turned down the possibility of playing under Sir Alex Ferguson to make a move to Arsenal.
