Former Real Madrid superstar confirms talks with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho

Former Real Madrid and Internazionale attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder has rubbished claims that Jose Mourinho wants him at Manchester United.

The two worked together at Internazionale and the Dutchman admits the relationship is still special with the Portuguese.

The 31-year-old says the two have spoken recently but not about a possible move to Old Trafford.

"Yes, I have a special relationship with [Jose] Mourinho," Sneijder told Fanatik.

"But it's not true that he wants me at Manchester United.

"I spoke with him, sure, but this doesn't mean that he wants me [at Old Trafford].

"I wished him luck for his new adventure in Manchester.

"It's [however] also true that in football you never know."
