Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says he is ready to sign players during the January transfer window to replace key players who are out injured.
Marcos Rojo and Wayne Rooney have joined Luke Shaw on the sidelines with the striker set to miss games against West Ham United and Wolfsburg.
And the Dutchman is ready to add new elements to his squad if he finds the right players this winter.
"The problem is that our injuries are always contact injuries and you cannot afford that because football is a sport of direct resistance," van Gaal explained.
"[Luke] Shaw is direct injured, [Marcos] Rojo and Wayne [Rooney] also. We have a lot of long-lasting contact injuries, which is our problem.
"We are looking [to sign new players], but as you know it is not so easy to buy players and in January it is more difficult. We are looking but it is not for sure."
