Bayern Munich star wants to reach former team-mate at Manchester United

Thomas Muller wants to quit Bayern Munich to join Manchester United, the Daily Star has revealed.

The 25-year-old is a confirmed target for boss Louis van Gaal with reports claiming that he wants to leave the German giants to join former team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger at Old Trafford.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters that the player is not for sale at the start of the week but the Germans might be tempted to open talks if United offer £60m.
