Former Chelsea striker urges Manchester United to sign new striker

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino says Manchester United will not fight for the title unless they add a new striker to their squad.

All signings made by the Red Devils so far have been made either in the defensive department or in midfield.

They signed Bastian Schweinsteiger, Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Sergio Romero and Matteo Darmian but are yet to add a top class striker to their squad.

"Their midfield has been bolstered [by the signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin]," Cascarino is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"But if you think they will have lost Di Maria, Falcao and Van Persie, that’s a huge loss to Man United.

"They must find replacements. If they lose Wayne Rooney (to injury), they’ve got a problem."
