Pep Guardiola on Angel Di Maria and Bastian Schweinsteiger rumours

By

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says he is not interested in signing Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria.

The 27-year-old continues to be a target for the German giants and Paris Saint-Germain according to reports but although the Spaniard was full of praise for the player, he rubbished the rumours.

"I don't have to watch Argentina games, because I know him and his style of playing very well," Guardiola said on Di Maria.

"United did not pay so much money for nothing, he is a great player. Although such transfer fees are sometimes really crazy.

"[Am I interested in him?] No."

Asked about the possible departure of midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, he added: "I have already said, read and heard a lot of things about Basti, but his future depends on him.

"I think he will stay, but only he can decide. If he stays, that would be the perfect decision for me. He is a top player."
