Nani agent confirms Manchester United winger will leave the club

Fenerbahce have opened negotiations with Manchester United to sign winger Nani, agent Luca Bascherini has revealed.

The 28-year-old is not part of Louis van Gaal's plans for next season and will leave Old Trafford after a very successful spell at Sporting Lisbon last season.

"We held talks with Terraneo [Fenerbahce's Sporting Director] regarding Nani," Bascherini is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

"We had lengthy negotiations.

"Terraneo is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it."

Meanwhile, the player reassured the Sporting fans that his next destination will not be at Benfica.

"My future is not yet clear," he said.

"But it could be clarified in the coming days. To the fans of Sporting, I do not intend to go to Benfica."
