Manchester United to announce Hugo Lloris signing next week

Manchester United have identified Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as the one to take over from David De Gea.

According to reports in Italy, the Red Devils are very close to announcing the Frenchman as their second signing of the summer.

An announcement could be made as early as next week.

Asked about his future and a possible move to Paris Saint-Germany, the goalkeeper told L'Equipe.: "You don't know what could happen.

"There is one important thing: there is a moment to think about yourself, to sit down and reflect, but when that moment has passed and the season starts, you're fully committed to the club's project and to the team [you're with].

"There is no clause. I have always liked to have face-to-face talks with my bosses. It's important to get to know people, to get an idea of the culture of a club, and to understand how it works.

"When you have that privilege of being able to talk directly with your chairman, like I've had with Daniel Levy, that make things a lot easier.

"Afterwards, I know what we've said to each other, and we have a relationship built on trust. All this talk of fees doesn't really interest me. Honestly, it's a debate for clubs to have.

"Tomorrow, I don't know. But today, I'm of a different state of mind. This is only my personal opinion, but I think it would be very hard to dislodge [Salvatore] Sirigu [at Paris Saint-Germain].

"I don't know if they [the rumours about a move to the French capital] were to destabilise PSG at an important stage of their season, but I think he's done great things for that club and people have short memories.

"Again, that club is progressing. We can all feel them evolving. But, for me today, the question [of a move back to France] has not arisen."
