Lazio president rubbishes Robin van Persie move to Lazio

By

President Claudio Lotito says Lazio are not interested in making a move for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

The 31-year-old is expected to assess all possible options during the summer transfer window including a move to the Italian Serie A.

But Lotito says the Dutchman is not a target for Lazio.

"[van Persie?] Haven’t you figured this out yet?" Lotito told Corriere dello Sport.

"It's all rubbish! Total bull! [Agent Vincenzo] Morabito is the one trying to spread these rumours."

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Juventus will make a £5m bid to sign the striker.

The Bianconeri first showed interest in the former Arsenal man two seasons ago and are expected to make a fresh move to replace Fernando Llorente who will return to the Spanish Liga.
