Manchester United preparing sensational offer for £50m striker

By

Manchester United are set to offer Tottenham a deal worth £50million to sign Harry Kane, Metro reports.

The 21-year-old was one of the most impressive players in this season's Premier League and his efforts were rewarded by being named the PFA Young Player of the Year.

He scored 30 goals in all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur and was scouted three times by Real Madrid this year.

Boss Louis van Gaal is determined to add the striker to his squad but it unlikely that Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino will allow the Englishman to leave.

"Kane has more potential!," Pochettino said two months ago.

"It is his first full season in the first team. We need to push him and try to improve his level. He has potential to improve.

"We can't pressure him. We need to be calm and let him improve. Give him the time to play, recover and have holidays. It is impossible to think of next season."
