Nigel De Jong is almost certain to leave Milan at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old is one of the many targets of Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal and would join the Red Devils on a free transfer.

According to reports from Italy, the Dutchman told the Italian club that he feels he deserves a pay-rise but the former Serie A champions are not ready to offer a new contract.

The midfielder already featured in the Premier League after spending three years at Manchester City and is ready to make a return to England.
