Manchester United target wants to leave Valencia says agent

By

Nicolas Otamendi wants to leave Valencia, agent Eugenio Lopez said.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a possible move to Manchester United and the agent confirmed that the centre back is determined to leave the Spanish Liga to improve as a player.

"Nicolas already told [president Amadeo] Salvo that he wants to leave," Lopez told Cadena Ser.

"They already had a face-to-face meeting two months ago. He will do anything to leave. Negotiations are open with a number of clubs who are interested in signing the player.

"Valencia didn't offer a new contract and we're not expecting one.

"It's all about who is ready to pay the £35m buyout clause.

"Make no mistake, Nicolas is happy at Valencia, in the city and the relationship with the fans but he wants to improve his professional career."
