Agent: Manchester United return unlikely for Cristiano Ronaldo

By

Agent Jorge Mendes says striker Cristiano Ronaldo is happy at Real Madrid and will end his career with the Spanish giants.

It's not the first time the player's agent insisted that the future of the Portuguese is in Spain with Los Merengues and with a buy-out clause of €1 billion - £800 million - it would take something special for Manchester United to consider making an offer for the two-time Ballon d'Or winner.

"He is the best player ever in the world. You can't compare him with anybody else," Mendes told BBC Sport.

"Cristiano Ronaldo [is worth] one billion. His buyout clause one billion, so it is one billion. It is impossible to buy someone like him.

"If for any reason the club decide to sell him tomorrow for 300 million, someone will pay."

The Portugal international hinted last year that one day he may return to the club "he loves" but Mendes is convinced that the 29-year-old will "surely" end his career at Real Madrid.

"He will not leave Real Madrid, for sure [he will not]," the agent said.
