Marcos Rojo: I am sure many achievements will come along

By

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo says he is delighted to have joined Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon for a reported fee of £16 but had to wait to be granted a work permit by the UK Border Agency to work in England.

And according to Manchester United's twitter account, the Argentinean will be immediately available to manager Louis van Gaal for this weekend's home game against Queens Park Rangers.

"It is a huge step forward in my career and my life and I am very happy to play for one of the best clubs in the world at the moment," Rojo told Perform.

The Argentina international is expected to start on Sunday with striker Radamel Falcao also expected to feature.

"There are some great players [here]," added Rojo.

"We obviously need to give time so the new manager can build his team but, with the great names we have in our squad and the intelligence of the manager, I am sure many achievements will come along.

"He's [Di Maria] got a lot of quality. He is very sharp and very fast so he can help a lot attacking in the second line.

"There are some good strikers in the squad, but Falcao is always in the penalty box; he is very sharp and capable to make the most of any chance.

"I will try to find my place as soon as possible and help in every way I can so we get important trophies."
