Manchester United ready to splash the cash on Angel Di Maria

By

Following a very disappointing home defeat against Swansea City last week, Manchester United are ready to reinforce their squad with one of the most important signings of the summer.

Manager Louis Van Gaal confirmed the club's financial situation is strong enough to seal a deal in one day with the Daily Mail reporting that the Red Devils are ready to offer £100m for Argentina's Angel Di Maria.

This exorbitant amount of money would help Manchester United cover the costs needed to sign the player from Real Madrid as well as the £200k-a-week wage requested by the midfielder.

Meanwhile, manager Van Gaal is considering giving up the chase for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal and Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Red Devils might have agreed with Adidas to the richest uniform deal in the history of sports but the financial boost will only be available from next summer and Di Maria could be the last big name to sign for the Manchester side.
