Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that six players are out injured and will not feature against Juventus on Wednesday night.
The Citizens will be eager to bounce back after the weekend defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League but will have to do it without key players such as Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
"We have a difficult situation with too many injured," Pellegrini told reporters.
"In defence, we have Zabaleta, Kompany and Mangala injured. In midfield, Nasri and Silva, while in attack, Bony is out.
"I hope that David could be involved in the game at the weekend. I'm not 100% sure but he has improved a lot in the last two days – I also hope Bony will be fit.
"It will be difficult for Vincent and Mangala to be ready for then and Samir is out for four or five months.
"This year it's important to finish as top of the group but if we could win tomorrow it would be especially important as it's a test for us to win tomorrow in a difficult stadium against a strong team.
"It's a big test for the future for us to try and win in Turin against Juventus - finishing top doesn't mean we'll get an easy draw as it depends on a lot of things.
"Everyone criticised this club about their performances in Europe so it's important for us to have achievements and one of those is to qualify for the Last 16 for the last three years.
"We need to play in Europe the same way as we did against Sevilla.
"We didn't allow Sevilla many chances in our goal, but more than that we played in the same way we as we do a lot of the time in the Premier League – we had good chances to score and a lot of the ball."
