Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his side's upcoming games are pivotal to improve their English Premier League position.
The Citizens battled their way past a well-organised Swansea City side on Saturday afternoon and the Chilean says that he wants to get as many points as possible from the busy Christmas period.
"Very happy because we won the game," Pellegrini said after the game.
"We played very well and had a lot of chances to score the third goal and we defended well. It was a difficult start because they scored with their only chance in the first half.
"We are absolutely confident the way we play and sure we are going to win the game. If we scored the third goal we could play well and not so tight.
"We had the chances but didn't score. The best way to score goals is to play as a team. The second goal was beautiful play.
"We have to play seven games more before the end of December and we have to fight for all of them.
"We have to add more points, we have 21 points to play for in December and it's important to win as many points as we can. The trust of the team is better going into the match against Bayern Munich.
"We work every day in training on defending and hopefully on Tuesday we won't make the mistakes we made today."
Midfielder Yaya Toure was against key to City's success as he scored the all-important winner and Pellegrini was full of praise for the performance of the 31-year-old.
"He [Yaya Toure] was tired but he had the personality and the character to continue playing to the end, and I think he played very well," said the manager.
"It's not possible for Yaya to score the amount of goals that he did last season, it's important for him to play well, and I felt he played very well today.
"I think it's always important for him to score, but I think that we played very well today, we had the trust to continue playing, and we had plenty of chances to score against a very good team."
