Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is ready to stay at the club for one more season.
The 33-year-old has established himself as a regular player in Manuel Pellegrini's side and believes he still has the quality to feature in the team for two more years.
"I am playing every game, every two to three days, so I am just enjoying it and taking it game by game," Demichelis told The Manchester Evening News.
"I would be happy to stay this year and then one more year because I think I will still have the quality to play at this level.
"I would like to stay one more year because I think I can play at this level."
The Citizens will be expected to improve their Champions League record this season but have a tough opener against Bayern Munich away from home on Wednesday.
"The aim of this club is to improve year after year, and the next big step is to get out of the group stage and take it from there – and we have the quality to do it," added the defender.
"It will be extremely emotional for me because Bayern were the club that gave me the chance to come to Europe and play, and I was there for seven-and-a-half years.
"I am looking forward to going back to the stadium and playing against old team-mates."
