Liverpool to challenge Arsenal for £15m Real Madrid winger

By

Liverpool are readying a bid for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev, according to Express Sport.

The 24-year-old is also a target for Arsenal according to reports although the Reds are determined to secure his services after selling Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.

The Russian spent last season on loan at Villarreal with the Spaniards hopeful that the winger will play for them next season as well.

"We shall see what happens with Cheryshev, right now it's not confirmed where he will play," Villarreal coach Marcelino told Marca last month.

"We will do all that we can for him to remain with us because we consider him an important player that has adapted well to our style of play. For us it would be fantastic news."
