Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal ready to battle to sign £40m-rated striker

By

Liverpool could still make a stunning summer swoop for Lyon ace Alexandre Lacazette, according to Express Sport.

The Frenchman scored an impressive 31 goals in 40 games for Lyon last season and continues to be heavily linked with a move to Anfield.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested although the Blues' interest in the player appears to have cooled after the arrival of Falcao.

The player would be interested in moving to the Premier League but Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas insists that he is not for sale.

He told Canal+ last month: "We will do everything within our powers to hold on to Alexandre.

"You never have any certainties in football, but we are determined to keep him here.

"A transfer fee of €50m (£35m) would not be enough for an attacker like him. He is priceless."
