Liverpool targets Sportiello and Pjanic to stay put

Liverpool targets Marco Sportiello and Miralem Pjanic will not leave Atalanta and Roma this summer.

According to reports in England, the Reds were set to make a move for the 23-year-old goalkeeper and for the talented 25-year-old midfielder but both players are expected to stay put.

"Liverpool after me? I am very well in Bergamo, is a city to which I owe so much," the goalkeeper said.

"I also have a long contract. Then, of course, in the future I would like to experience of working abroad."

Meanwhile, Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic also says that he will not leave during the summer transfer window.

"I hope to wear the Roma jersey many more times, because I am happy here," he said.

"The city is fantastic, the club is great and the fans live for football."
