Liverpool plotting double £37m swoop to improve offensive department

By

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to strengthen his squad's offensive department after a disappointing season.

According to Metro, the Reds are ready to offer £24.8m for Porto's Jackson Martinez.

The 28-year-old is also a target for Arsenal with Italian Serie A side Napoli also interested in the strong striker.

Liverpool are also determined to add Burnley striker Danny Ings to their squad.

The 22-year-old was one of the most impressive strikers this season and wants to continue in the Premier League after Burnley failed to avoid relegation.

The Englishman is available for £12m.
