Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will benefit from Friday's clean sheet against Burnley.
The 26-year-old was relegated on the bench earlier this month but was back in action in the Reds' away win against the Clarets after Brad Jones suffered a thigh problem in the early stages of the game.
"It's an opportunity for Simon [Mignolet] to come in and prove his worth," Rodgers said on Saturday morning.
"He's a very good goalkeeper and he'll tell you his time out has helped him reflect a little bit, and now he can come in and hopefully for him stay in the team.
"It has been a difficult season for the team, not just Simon.
"It's never easy for a goalkeeper. It's a very specialised position. He came into the game at Burnley at a tough moment, but Simon is a very resilient character.
"Like everyone he has had a wee bit of flak and taken a bit of stick, but to operate at this level you have to deal with that.
"Simon had a couple of edgy moments and recognised that, but he came for some crosses and some punches, gained confidence and got a clean sheet."
Meanwhile, Rodgers rubbished rumours linking striker Mario Balotelli with a possible move to former club Internazionale.
"It's not something I have even thought about, to be honest," the manager added.
"We've had a lot of games this season in a lot of competitions. At this moment in time the key for me is trying to keep the squad together."
