Manager Brendan Rodgers strenuously denied reports that there are internal problems in his Liverpool team.
After crashing out of the Champions League and suffering a heavy defeat against Manchester United in the Premier League, the Reds face Bournemouth in tomorrow's League Cup action, a competition that could be the club's best shot at silverware this season.
"Our dressing room is very strong," Rodgers said.
"We are very fortunate we have got a captain who is a strong leader in dressing room and it's something that's been very important in my time here.
"Talk of unrest is totally untrue.
"Of course they not happy not winning games, these are competitive players who almost won league last year, so they won't be happy because they are so competitive.
"But our spirit is very strong, and once we get a break, just get that little bit of luck to turn things, we will show that.
"This is the first cup competition that you can win, so it was always a priority for me. We wanted to do well in it.
"At the moment we're only looking at the next game, but that's something that I've always done throughout my time here. The next game is the most important.
"Of course, we've got a big game at the weekend on top of that. But the idea is to go into the game tomorrow night to win and I'll pick the team that I think can win the game."
Striker Mario Balotelli is expected to miss the game after aggravated a groin injury against Manchester United but Rodgers confirms there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game.
"Mario [Balotelli] has had a problem with his groin that has been ongoing, so we'll assess that," added the manager.
"But apart from that, everyone should be fine."
