"I had to accept it" - Is this the biggest hint yet that this Chelsea transfer has collapsed?

By

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone says he is happy with his squad amid rumours that Diego Costa will join the club in the winter transfer window.

The Spanish giants were banned from signing new players this summer.

And the Argentine says he is satisfied with the group of players at his disposal as an indication that Costa might need to find another club.

"The most important thing to me is the work of my club in general, not only in training. I have to work with what I have," he said.

"When I found there was no other possibility to get new players at the club I accepted it.

"Maybe I could improve the quality, but for the moment with this team I can work very well and I'm satisfied with that."

Milan are interested in the Spaniard and have already made contact with the Blues to bring him to the Serie A.
