Chelsea have opened talks with Real Betis to sell midfielder Mario Pasalic.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Serie A giants Milan.
He already enjoyed a loan spell in Spain after joining Elche for the 2014/2015 season.
Last month, agent Marko Naletilic confirmed that a number of clubs are interested in securing the services of his client.
"I can only say that there are a lot of clubs interested in Pasalic of which Betis is one," Naletilic told Estadio Deportivo in June.
"Betis are an important club in Spain and Europe, for whom I have great respect."
