Manager goes public after reports claim Chelsea want to sign £40million star "who knows how to score goals"

By

New Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco has rubbished rumours that attacking midfielder Radja Nainggolan will leave the club this summer.

Heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, the Belgium international was approached by the Blues last year.

Manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of the 29-year-old and recent reports have claimed that he could make a fresh approach to sign him.

But Di Francesco wants the strong midfielder to stay at the club as he confirmed that he will join the rest of the squad for pre-season in the United States.

"He's a strong player and we want to keep him here," he told Sky Italia.

"We will have him in the Unites States and I am very happy about it.

"He knows how to tackle and score goals."
