Sky Sports confirms: Chelsea have made a move to sign £70million striker

Sky Sports has confirmed that Chelsea have made a move to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

The news is a confirmation of what was published by Italian website earlier today.

Having failed to sign Romelu Lukaku who moved to Old Trafford, the Blues are desperately trying to find a new striker target.

James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata have both been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

But manager Antonio Conte prefers the Spaniard having already worked with him when at Juventus.

The 24-year-old has a market transfer value of at least £70million.

Chelsea and Real Madrid will meet in the next few days to finalise the transfer of the striker.

Morata is determined to enjoy regular first-team football before the World Cup Finals in Russia and he knows that he cannot achieve it at the Santiago Bernabeu.
