"Chelsea are in pole position" - £52million world class star wants Stamford Bridge move

By

James Rodriguez is reportedly hoping to complete a transfer away from Real Madrid in the next 48 hours and avoid joining up with the club for the start of their pre-season tour, Metro has claimed.

The Colombia international will certainly leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

He was linked with a move to Manchester United but the Red Devils are all set to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

Having failed to sign Lukaku, Blues manager Antonio Conte is looking elsewhere and has identified Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez as two possible targets.

Internazionale in Italy have also made contact with the South American striker but it seems his intention is to embark on a new experience in the English Premier League.

The Colombian has a market transfer value of £52million.
