"Chelsea have made contact" - Transfer market expert confirms Chelsea want to sign £80million striker

By

Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Chelsea have made contact to sign striker Alvaro Morata.

The Blues have been forced to assess their options after missing out on Romelu Lukaku.

Manager Antonio Conte wants to sign at least two strikers this summer.

He already made contact to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea City with the Spaniard set to take over from Michy Batshuayi.

Loic Remy and Diego Costa are also expected to leave the club so the Blues are desperately trying to strengthen their offensive department.

Morata was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but the Red Devils have in the end opted to sign the Everton man.

The 24-year-old has a market transfer value of £70million according to his club, a fee that the Blues may decide to pay.
